Busy Week, and Another One Coming Up!

Hey, all!  I hope you're well and happy!

We've been busy around here.  As I have mentioned, Golfer has been having some back issues and has been recuperating and not playing golf.  That's been the really hard part because we have had some beautiful weather lately.  Not today when it's in the 40's.  But those sunny days in the 80's were great!

Anyway, Golfer started some PT on Friday.  He'll go twice a week for at least four weeks.  They've told him some of the exercises he's been doing are wrong and he should stop those and start some new ones.  And watch his posture.  We can hear our Moms calling out "stand up straight"!  He is feeling better and seems to be able to do more each day.  He hopes to play golf next week.

Our mortgage refinancing is progressing which resulted in a flurry of activity one afternoon when we had calls and emails needing us to sign additional forms.  They were emailed to us, printed, signed, scanned and saved and then I emailed them back.  That was followed up by some phone tag with the appraiser to set an appointment.  He is coming on Wednesday afternoon.

All the tax people seem to be on top of things and our refunds are already in our savings account.  Yay!  We are just thrilled we didn't have to pay this year.

I had my mammogram and already have the "normal" results and have been reminded to come back next year.  So all is well there.

This coming week will be filled with appointments. In addition to the appraiser,  I have my annual check-up and lab work.  Golfer has PT twice, a dermatology appointment to remove a basal cell carcinoma that was just biopsied, and he has a dental appointment.

As much as he hated to do it, Golfer mowed the grass yesterday, edged, and trimmed.  I went out and helped with some pruning and the clean-up and we did some other chores in the yard.  Things are looking much better.  He usually doesn't start the mowing until in April, but the grass has grown so much over the Winter, it needed to be done.

We have started some advance planning in preparation of our 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2017.  After some discussion we checked with the Country Club here in Kiln Creek first.  It was lovely and beautiful, but we were shocked at how much it cost to rent their "party" room for a few hours.  AND.... the date we wanted was already booked by someone else.  So we are looking at other options and think we have found what we want.  We're still pinning down details, more later. :)

Another happy event this coming week will be the arrival of our new recycling bin!  Sounds silly, doesn't it?  But ever since they came out a few year ago with the larger blue bins on wheels, I've wanted one.  I'm not able to carry the current one and have to drag it out if I'm moving it.  Our neighborhood wasn't allowed to have them until now.  Wednesday is our swap out day!

As I said, our weather has changed and it's now cold and gray.  Supposed to rain later.  At least they've stopped mentioning snow like they were doing earlier in forecasts!

Stay safe!
