And Summer Rolls On . . . .

Well, we had a tiny (and I mean itty bitty) break in the Africa hot heat and now it it's back with the highest humidity of the Summer so far. It's sort of cloudy today and we're hoping for rain. For the record, we've been hoping for rain for a while. We need a good soaker here.

In spite of the heat, Golfer and I have been busy doing things around the house. His major project has been cleaning and painting the deck. He finished up the primer and first coat of paint yesterday. The humidity is lengthening the drying time, so the second coat hasn't happened yet.

I decided there were a few extra larger cleaning jobs that needed to be done and I tackled those. You know, those chores you put off doing like wiping baseboards, wiping down walls and corners, scrubbing tile, getting dead bugs out of lights, etc. I also did a little bit of weed pulling and clean-up in the yard.

Nurse J has had a lot of overtime lately and we haven't seen her, but she says they are all doing fine. BeyB went to computer "camp" last week at William and Mary. She had a great time and learned some new computer skills. The students studied computer graphics and designed games.

Happy Birthday, Bikini! We're sending you hugs! She says they are all doing well in Georgia. She's excited about getting a composter for her birthday. And she's getting lots of use out of her new clothesline for outdoor drying. Bloomer is busy looking for frogs every chance she gets and Boxer has been going to swim camp. So things are busy there.

I hope everyone is well and happy and having a great Summer! Stay safe!
