You Know I Like Starbucks . . . . . and Cats!

Hello, the past week has gone by quickly, so I thought I'd better check in.

The new microwave was installed yesterday.  The measurements I took before we ordered it were correct, and it fit just fine!  Whew!  Looks good.  We have not used it yet but the installer checked everything to be sure it all worked.  I don't actually cook in a microwave.  We use it for leftovers and making popcorn.  Tonight is a popcorn night!  I'll let you know how it goes.

I had a birthday this past week.  It was a nice, but quiet, day.  Was also a dark, windy, cold, and rainy day, so we we did not go out for dinner.  But we had some wonderful cheesecake that Les ordered for dessert.  We'll go out for dinner another evening.

Les and I are doing alright.  We have a couple appointments this coming week.

Pam says they are okay and the repairs on their deck and outside stairs have begun.

Things are finally better at Jacquie's.  They've been under quarantine with Covid until a few days ago.  She said they are all doing better now.

I've had to spend too much time on the phone the last day or so.  Our Credit Union started a new electronic bill pay system a few months ago.  I've mentioned this in previous posts.  Well, they are still having issues.  Last month they paid one of our bills twice.  Not a problem, we just had a credit on that bill and this months' is just thirty cents.  But now they say they can't sink/connect with a biller and when I click to fix it, I am asked to answer a security question.  This wouldn't be a problem if it was a question that Les and I had ever seen and answered before.  But it's an odd one we've never heard of.  And this brings me to a major "peeve".  Why in the name of what's Holy, do companies  hire people to answer their phones and let them work in spaces with loud background noise, and these people can't speak clearly?!  I'll be here in a quiet room with the phone volume turned up and there's so much static and noise coming from them I can't understand them.  And please, company managers and HR people, make sure your employees can speak and understand English.  I do not intend any prejudice here, just offering some common sense.  People working on phones should be understandable.   A little training first before you put them on the phones would be good.  And on this topic, for Pete's sake!! Make your automated "Chat AI Person" better.  There is enough annoyance in the world.  We don't need all this!  BTW, I'll be back on the phone again on Monday.  Wish me luck!  And enough of this, thanks for "listening".

It's sunny but cool here today.  There are a few things that could be done outside, but that is not happening for a while.  I am sure the weeds will wait for me.

Take care of yourselves.  Life is good.  And God Bless America!
