Cherry Blossoms

The Cherry Blossoms are blooming on Canon Boulevard!   So pretty!  They are on both sides of the road.  There isn't a spot where you can pull over and take pictures, so this was taken from inside the car.

I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

It is 83 and sunny here.  I have windows open and Finnigan is running back and forth.

Peace and Joy.  Be Kind.  And God Bless America!

Hey!

Easter is coming soon.  Mr. Gnome has decorated his garden (with my help).

It is still cold and windy here, but at least the sun is shining.  I've been doing some small inside projects.  But the main project today was going to the Commissary to get groceries.

Our taxes are done and filed.

The porch pansies seem to be doing well.  I enjoy looking at them.

Life is good.  Take care of yourselves and be kind.  And God Bless America.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

And even more important to us - - - - - - Happy Birthday to our sweet Finnigan!  💕 He and his littermates were born on St. Patrick's Day.

Stay safe and be kind.  Life is good and God Bless America!

Pansies!

I had to take pictures from both angles!  Finally got these today and got them potted.  Lots of things are getting leaves now and blooming.  Pollen counts slowly rising on the news.  Although it's so windy right now, it's moving around.

Les and I are okayish.  Nothing new going on.  I've been doing some extra projects and trying to keep up with things.  The next larger project is cleaning windows. Perhaps this week.

Everyone is hoping that snow is over and done.  At least this last we had didn't stick around really long.  But the rapid temperature change from 86 on Wednesday to 30 on Thursday was tough.  My body does not like changes like that.

I hope everyone is well and staying safe.  God Bless America!

A Memory

I was looking through some pictures and this one popped out.  This is us back when we were still in school and dating.  Les' Dad took the picture before we left for "Twirl-a-Teens".  Fun times, a large group of teens learning and dancing.  We did square dancing and round dancing.

I hope everyone is well and I hope everyone has some happy memories.  We have lots of great memories.

Stay safe.  And God Bless America!

Just Checking In

Les and I are okayish here.  I have been tackling some extra projects, you know, basically just things that needed to be done.

Our weather warmed up and yesterday it was 82!  Today it was about 70 this morning, and the temperature is dropping this afternoon and it's 43 now.

I did take advantage of the warmer time and over the last couple days I got both cars cleaned inside and out and swapped out the Weather Tech mats for the carpet-like ones.  Both cars are clean and shiny and looking better.

And speaking of clean cars, pollen season is starting here.😯 The Pink Bud trees in the median are blooming and daffodils are starting to bloom out on Rt. 17.  I got this picture of the trees while stopped at at traffic light.

I also took advantage of the warm weather this morning to do a little work in the yard.  There is much left to do, but I got a start on it.  I am pretty sure I will have to prune a few things later.  But I am waiting until they start to get new leaves so I can tell how badly the extreme cold affected them this Winter.

Take care and stay safe.  Peace and Joy.

Just Saying Hi

We're okayish here.  The sun is out and the temperature is in the 50's.  I'm hoping some of the puddles and mud dry up.  I keep thinking of things to do in the yard when that happens.

Pam was here for a couple days to visit.  It was nice having her here.  Everyone is okay and busy at her house.

Jacquie is busy, too.  The girls have had a few snow days and I don't know what that will do to the school schedules.  Jordan's job is going well and she is busy.

Family in Ohio have had a lot of very cold weather and snow, too.  Fortunately they have snow blowers. ⛄❄

Finnigan spends a lot of his time under the quilt on our bed.  It's a nice warm spot.  And as soon as I have a shower in the evening and sit down with my quilt to watch TV, he is right there on my lap waiting to be covered up, too.

I just realized that time "changes" next weekend.  So remember to "Spring forward".

Take care and stay safe.  Peace and Joy.

We're Still Here

Yes, it has been quite a while since I've posted.  There have been doctor appointments, holidays, birthdays, quarterly pest control, a plumbing repair, a new clothes dryer delivery, several Winter storms, and extreme cold.  One storm started as rain, turned to freezing rain and then snow and we had snow and ice that lasted for about two weeks in some patches in our yard.  The ice caused some damage to some molding around our garage door and we're waiting on that to be repaired.

You have heard me say this before.....I AM READY FOR SPRING!

Les and I are okayish.  A lot of days, I just run out of time and energy.  I am going to try to do better at posting if there is anything newsworthy.

Snow and ice

Last snow fall didn't last long

In between these two "snows" we had another that was all light and fluffy and I could use the leaf blower to clear the driveway!

I hope everyone is well and safe.  Take care of yourselves.

Peace and Joy

Happy New Year!

And yes, I realize today is January 2nd. 😊  What can I say, it is what it is.

Les and I are okayish.  He is doing what he can.  So am I, and trying to keep up with things.

The guys are done cleaning up leaves and I am guessing they won't be back until they think they will need to mow again in the spring.  Although, we have had some strong wind several times lately that has blown huge leaves into the yard.  I have no idea what kind of trees or where they came from.  There were so many stuck in the small shrubs in front of the porch and stuck into the Christmas decorations, that I went out and cleaned them up.

All of the undecorating is done, it took a couple days.  As I was working at it, I also cleaned out the storage boxes.  Jacquie and Jordan came and helped with the final job of getting our large tree taken apart and boxed up and moved into the library closet.  So everything is back in place now and cleaned up.  Actually this morning, I swapped out the quilts when I changed the bed and put the Christmas quilt away and the Anniversary quilt is back on the bed.

I have been tackling rather smallish jobs that have been bugging me.  You know, like cleaning out some drawers, sorting through the closet, cleaning out the bathroom sinks' drains, cleaning the sink mats in the kitchen, etc.  Next up is finishing some forms for tax prep, and then updating our address database.  A couple friends moved over the past year and we didn't know until we received their cards.

So, all in all, life is still good.  Be kind, take care of yourselves, and stay safe.  God Bless America!

This picture was taken New Year's Day evening.  You know I like sky pictures!
