Well, Phoo!

A disappointment.... Les likes the Chic-Fil-A  peach milkshakes.  We realized about a week ago that he hadn't had one this Summer.  I told him I would try to get him one this week.  I tried.  Was told they are all done with that now.  So we have to wait until next Summer.

So, here we are.  It's August 22nd, peach milkshakes are gone.  Starbucks will have Pumpkin Spice whatevers in a few days.  I will not be having any of those, although I do not mind the smell of them, just can't stand the taste.  Besides, when I go to Starbucks, I want my Dark Roast Grande with a little splash of half and half, none of the "froo froo" stuff  😊 So, even though it is still hot and humid, Fall is coming.  And I have started Christmas shopping, just like the news reports are telling us to do.  I usually start by now anyway, but, you know, world conditions.

Just letting you know we're still here.  😊

Hurricane Erin is missing us, but the coast areas are getting hit with flooding and dangerous conditions.  At least it is moving quickly.  It's just windy, cloudy, and a few sprinkles here at our house.

We've been going to appointments and I've been taking care of things as well as possible.  When the heat and humidity has been so high, not much has gotten done outside.

Les' brother and wife came to visit us last weekend and it was such a nice visit.  Was great to see them!

Z and B are back to classes at Chattahoochee Tech.  I hope that is going well!

School starts here next week for C and E.  They've had their meet and greets with new teachers and are as ready as they are going to get.  New haircuts, and supplies are ready!

I've started Christmas shopping.  So far, so good.

I'm getting adjusted to my new glasses and that's going well.  I had an appointment with my Audiologist today and my hearing test shows a little more loss in left ear.  But I'm doing alright.  She inspected my hearing aids and adjusted them.  Got rid of the tinny squeak I've had a couple times.

I am ready for Fall and cooler, nice weather.  And I am still looking forward to getting out our ceramic pumpkins soon. 🍂

I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.  We are okayish here.

Time has gotten away from me again.  We've been going to appointments and I've been keeping up with things around here.

It's been a hard Summer for so many areas.  I am ready for cooler weather.  Only a few more weeks and I can get the ceramic pumpkins out!  They make me smile.

We've had some lovely early morning skies recently and I got a couple pictures.
