Day Two

Up at 5:30. Did usual morning stuff. Also made a quick run to Starbucks. Hermione and Cinder in safe room. When last seen, Cecil was under our bed, but I imagine he made a run for upstairs when the guys started making noise! In any event, they are being very careful and Cecil has not gotten out of the house. Workers came about 8:00. Drop cloths and tarps down again. Today, ladders in bathroom and hall. Workers in attic. They're taking down the ceiling. Electrician is supposed to come today. Perhaps the plumber will stop by.

So....... after an SOS email to Bikini and after reading a tutorial, I am going to try to give you some pictures!

From the end of Day 1 (Please disregard the date on the picture. I have changed it on the camera and it doesn't hold on current date. Sorry. If anyone knows how to get rid of the date, let me know!)

Unfortunately, I neglected to take pictures before any of the work started, so just use your imagination. The walls were light blue, there was a wide border with fish design, glass-doored shower, garden tub, huge mirror, and dual sinks and cabinets. There were decorative artwork pieces, fish on the wall, and shells on a shelf. All gone now or packed up in boxes.

The third picture shows the area where the demo guys found a beer can and drink cup in the wall from the original builders. Swell.

And I'll end this post by saying there is just absolutely nothing that says CLASS like having a porta-potty in your front yard! (for the workers to use) At least we're giving the neighbors something to talk about!
