Hello!
It's been longer than I thought since I've posted. We have been keeping up with things and trying to stay safe. I have remembered advice that I've tried to follow since I was a little girl. It's not always easy to do though. I'm sure you've heard this before: If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything. This is true, but sometimes you just have to speak up. And that needs to be done very carefully, especially in our world today.
But anyway.... Les and I are doing okay. We have appointments for our first doses of Covid vaccine next week. We go to our GP doctor's office for those.
I have had a birthday. Thank you to all who sent me good wishes on Facebook!
We had snow yesterday. Today is nice and sunny but it is still not getting warmer than the low 30's so some of the snow is still here. I took this picture yesterday morning.
We had our first Cronuts this morning. Les heard of Emily's Donuts in Williamsburg. So we got up and went before breakfast, got them, stopped at Starbucks and got coffee, and came home. The donut shop is small but they had a large selection. Looked like they were taking all necessary precautions to keep everyone safe, too. The Cronuts were delicious!
Take care of yourselves and stay safe. God Bless America! Life is great!

So Many Things to Think About
I am sure many of you have as many worries and things that you are thinking about as I do. We should all be trying to stay safe and healthy. Just because vaccine distribution has started does not mean that we can throw caution to the wind and not be careful and take precautions. I do not understand those people who put others at risk by not wearing a mask, distancing, and being careful.
Our children and grandchildren are also constantly in my thoughts and prayers. What is happening to their education? The children need to be kept safe, and the schools are trying. But not all children do well with remote/online learning. It is hard to balance the needs with the safety.
Also our country is at the top of my list of worries. So many things should have been done differently by so many people. The protesting terrorists who attacked our Capitol should all be arrested. It is going to take a lot of work and a long time to get over this.
But life goes on. Les and I are trying to stay safe. We are keeping up with things around our home and we are are trying to take care of ourselves. We read good books, we watch some good shows on TV (some are not so good), we exercise, Les plays golf when he can, we enjoy our furry boys, and we stay in touch with our family. Life is still good.
Take care of yourselves. Find a reason to smile every day. God Bless America.

Just Checking In
I hope everyone is staying safe. Take care of yourselves!
Les and I are doing okay. The sun has been trying to show itself today but it is pretty cool out. That didn't stop me from starting to clean the windows though.
Other than that we're just keeping up with things.
Here is my latest morning sky picture.
God Bless America! Remember that life is great.

Done
The undecorating has all been done for a few days, inside and out. We have everything put away. Cleaning has been done. I even got out one afternoon and did a little bit of yard work. There is more to be done, but it is cold and rainy and it will wait.
The final bit of undecorating was the bed. When I changed the bed I put the Christmas quilt away and put the Anniversary quilt back on the bed and swapped out pillow covers.
I geared up one recent morning and spent a little bit of time doing a couple necessary errands. I also got the grocery shopping done.
Several posts ago I mentioned I had the surgery for my left wrist scheduled to relieve the carpal tunnel issues. The rise in Covid cases, the variant Covid spreading, and the post-Christmas surge caused me to reconsider. I have cancelled the surgery for now. I will tough it out a while. As much as I would like to get the surgery done, it is not worth the risk to Les and me for me to do it now. Fortunately, the left side is not as bad or nearly as painful as the right hand was.
Boxer and Bloomer are recuperating from wisdom teeth removal surgery. Not a great way to spend their school break, but no one is going anywhere anyway. 😒 They are doing better. Pam says they are all doing okay and the undecorating is all done at their home.
Jacquie says they are all doing okay and their undecorating is all finished, too. The girls are keeping busy and school will start again soon.
Les is playing golf when the weather is cooperating. We continue to distance, wear masks, and try to stay safe.
Take care and you all stay safe, too. God Bless America and Happy New Year! Remember, life is great!
