Hey, all!
I hope you're all doing well and are happy and content. Golfer and I are doing okay.
I've been busy learning to use the apps and functions of my new phone and also learning to use Twitter! The more I use them, the less nervous I'm getting. Golfer is still shocked. I think he bought the new phone for me thinking I'd just use it for phone calls, but I love it and can't seem to turn it off!
We had Jeff, our wonderful painter, at the house all last weekend. He painted ceilings on the main floor and the stairway to the one upstairs room. He's coming back on Saturday to finish upstairs. Still has to do the walls and the trim work. It all looks great! He did some patching and mending in a couple spots where we had nail pops and the area where we had an ice dam and leak over the fireplace. Golfer and I were busy re-hanging the window treatments and doing some cleaning as painting finished in each area. By the time this project is done, the Spring cleaning will be done, too!
It's in the 70's here today and sunny. I think we're going to go to one of the nurseries in the area and look for pansies this afternoon. I am really anxious to get some planted and perk things up. Although the grass is very green and trees are budding all around us.
I had my annual physical recently and was diagnosed as being Vitamin D deficient. Our doctor says that could be a factor in fatigue that I have been blaming on the RA. I have started a weekly supplement and will have to see how it goes. Everything else went well... except for Dr. P having the nerve to suggest that just maybe, perhaps, I should consider cutting back on the Starbucks coffee or switching to decaf! I usually only drink one cup of coffee a day and only go to Starbucks a couple times a week, and I hate the idea of decaf, but I told him I would "think" about it!
I've been busy trying to get some closets cleaned out and some things organized and taken care of. Easter is approaching quickly and we always get the kids a little something. Not to bust a surprise or anything, but eight-year-old little boys are not real thrilled with cute little stuffed bunnies. Absolutely nothing will say "Happy Easter" like a tub of military men, tanks and planes! :)
BeyB is doing well in school and has adjusted to wearing braces okay. I think she's already looking forward to Summer! NurseJ and CableGuy are having the windows replaced in their house. They are all well and busy.
Boxer has to have braces also and is in the first stages of that. Baseball is going well. Bloomer started swim lessons. She's like a little fish when she's in the water; she loves it! Bikini and Brief are busy and all are doing well. We had a great visit with Bikini when she came to Virginia for the quilt show.
That brings everything up to date. Stay safe!
